Story
The concept of Deeper: in 2012, two fishermen, Aurelijus and Rolandas, set out to fish in Finland. There they rented a fishing boat, where they found what was still new to them at the time - a large echo sounder, which individual parts were connected by a cable. When both fishermen tried this device for the first time, they were pleasantly surprised by how much information can be found using the echo sounder: the structure of the bottom, the depth of various parts of the water body, the locations of fish. This got them thinking - couldn't similar technology be used for fishing from the shore? Couldn't it be an attached device that has wireless connectivity that is... SMART!
The beginning of Deeper: The two fishermen had been developing the idea day and night: they looked for specialists in various fields, from university professors to professional practitioners, with whom they could consult. Diligence and dedication helped them find a talented innovative technology engineer, Donatas, nicknamed Žynius (Prophet). After the latter joined the team, things began to move forward rapidly. Many prototypes were created, endless tests in various bodies of water were carried out, until finally in 2013, after a successful crowdfunding campaign, the first Deeper sonar appeared in stores.
Deeper Today: Today, Deeper offers several smart sonar models, an app, fishing accessories and the Fish Deeper™ bathymetry management platform. You can buy Deeper sonars in more than 50 countries, the Fish Deeper App has been downloaded more than 2 million times, and the company has over 60 specialists working on one vision and always creating something new.
